FAQs.

What we do...

  • We take household trash. If you live in the southern New Mexico and El Paso region... the trash you throw away today, may well end up in the Camino Real Landfill tomorrow.
  • We take commercial trash. That includes the trash from local public schools, grocery stores, restaurants, the racetrack/casino, nearby department stores, and other businesses where you shop.
  • We tak non-hazardous trash generated by U.S. companies doing business south of the international border. This trash is accepted under a strictly monitored manifest system to prevent unauthorized waste from entering the landfill.

What we don't do...

  • Camino Real Landfill does not accept ANY liquid waste.
  • Camino Real Landfill does not accept ANY hazardous waste.
  • Camino Real Landfill does not accept ANY medical waste.
  • (Liquid, hazardous, and medical waste is disposed of in other, more specialized disposal facilities that must exercise even more care in handling and disposing of these wastestreams.)
